I am having trouble accessing the Video Chat, I cannot connect or have trouble connecting?
|
| |
The chat software is setup to use 3 different ports for communication. Any of these can be used by our
software to communicate with our chat server. If one of them is working but the others are not check your firewall or try to make a connection directly
without going through other services such as a proxy, AOL, etc. While the software has been tested and works with these we cannot test every firewall or
every possible software setup. If you cannot connect after trying several times please try one or more of the testing tools below:
Click here to test Video CHAT server
Click here to test Video Instant Messenger server (IMs)
Click here to test Video Streaming server
* For fastest service please email me on the site at profile #14 or click here. This software tests out different communication paths
to our servers and then opens an Email to send the results to us! |

The Video is Choppy or Fragmented?
|
| |
The servers automatically manage bandwidth based on the Connection
Speed setting you select in the Chat Room. Bandwidth is divided amoung the other members who are chatting with you.
The Video has the highest priority followed by audio and the actual text chat. Setting your
Connection Speed to a higher setting increases the resolution and slows the speed of the video. Selecting
a video speed that is much higher than your connection will cause frames to be dropped and this is what causes
choppy video. Other factors include anything that use bandwidth on your connection, network or the Internet route to our
servers. |
